Why Triathlon Taren Quit Strava

Triathlon Taren got called out for not being on Strava after telling people to follow him there, he explains why he hasn’t been on Strava in over a month and if he’ll be back on. Triathlon Taren starts the day with the longest marathon swimming workout of the year: a 4.5 hour pool swim with mostly freestyle swimming, then he heads home to explain the purpose of the long marathon swimming sessions, how the swimming workout was designed, and finally why he hasn’t been on Strava in a long time.

I literally cannot imagine anything worse than this many hours in a pool. Good job.

Since I have limited time I have also not been on Strava, even getting a bit behind on these you tube videos. So understand completely

8:09 How much less can I do? For instance cutting half of the swim training you accomplished this day. Although psychologically it may have an advantage, it takes quite a long time to recover well and you’re also losing time to do a lot of other things.
Keep up the good work though!!

I swam 1,8km in 30 min non stop and at the end I wasn’t feeling my arm and could have probably continued swimming

What I have found with Strava is the GPS and time is off BIG time! I’m just there for community

Strava’s tracking system sucks.

The facts are out and there is no longer a debate. Years of endurance training will reek havoc on your heart. It’s simply not good for you.

Hi Taren. When you hit the lap/rest button you can scroll up to the drill menu and do your kick set and then the 920xt will predict and ask you in the end how far you kicked or did a drill. Thereafter scroll down and continue resting and hit rest/lap again to do rest of you swimming. Great swim there. My furthest was 5km.
