It’s all too easy for us to get carried away with our training and feel like we absolutely have to get it done at all costs, now although this in itself is a great mindset to have, it’s not ideal if it means we start to cut corners in our workouts, or perhaps even worse still, impact the training of our club-mates or training buddies too.

In this video Fraser & Heather are going to outline 5 key ways that can ruin your training, so that you can do your best to avoid falling into those same pitfalls.

What mistakes are you guilty of? Let us know!

Working out right after lunch or breakfast, I can do it on a bike as I can just start off slow. But not on a run or when swimming…. Food needs a bit of time to digest before a workout. I know most pro XC mtb’ers eat about 3 hours before their race.

Wearing a piece of kit that has been washed and worn a few too many times and has become a bit see through. I have never done that!

5:07 – “You only get in what you put out” My new favourite quote !!

As a parent of young children, if I didn’t train through colds, I wouldn’t be training.

This is such a first world problem: ‘I forgot to charge my $5000 bike so I can’t change gears’… What the heck? Why not use a real bike with manual gearchanging?

im lucky enough to do all my training on my own so that’s one less thing to worry about :)… another gr8 video guys thank you

How many TT bikes do these chaps have? Seems like they’re on a different one in every shot.
