Imagine yourself as a non-triathlete stepping into the world of triathlon for the very first time…It may not be that long ago for some of you, so you may well remember your very first encounter with this new species…the triathlete!

We’ll happily admit, we are a funny old bunch of people…but we love that about our little triathlon community. It’s our odd quirks and styles that make us so special.

We’ve met all types of triathletes over the years, but we have 6 favourite types that I’m sure you will recognise too!

What happens if I’m all of them?

Personally attacking Lionel with the “fashion challenged” character was a bit harsh!

Nicolas don't bother with my lastname

Holy shit, I just realized I’m fashion challenged 😮

I feel like the majority of us are lone wolves. The fall off rate is high in this sport. The guy who introduced me to tri years ago is now a rock climber. My last run partner got married and had a kid so I no longer see him at all. Run partner before that is always getting “injured” and taking 2-3 week breaks. Most other triathletes I meet are new-comers who will fizzle out in a year or two. It’s almost default that you will become a lone wolf in this sport. Anyone else agree / disagree? Maybe I should leave North Carolina? lol

Lone wolf here. Can only deal with my own spit and snot !

That was fun
